When passing through Ch\u00e2tel, a poet could well have written: \"here, all is calm and beauty\". In fact, this small village in Haute-Savoie has a rare charm, that of reconciling conviviality, a gentle way of life and the preservation of traditions, all in a majestic natural setting. At the foot of the mountains, you will discover a resort with preserved architecture where the wooden chalets proudly display their flowered balconies. These dwellings, characteristic of the Abondance valley, impress by their size, their low-pitched roofs and their south-facing facades, which have acquired a beautiful ruddy colour over time and on sunny days.<\/p>

In summer and winter, the village offers a lot of entertainment. You can stroll through the market, take advantage of the shops, taste the local flavours... You can also have fun at the bowling alley, play miniature golf or tennis, slide on the skating rink near the Vonnes lake, or go to one of the two cinemas in the resort. And don't hesitate to enjoy the charm of the village. As you stroll around, you will appreciate the small neo-Gothic Saint-Laurent de Ch\u00e2tel church, the Vonnes and Essert chapels, built more than 200 years ago, and the numerous oratories that line the streets. Near the hotel, you can also discover the Vieille Douane, a former customs office now transformed into a museum.
